Default For People With LARGE Yards!!!

I received a catalog today I have never seen before and I am just tickled about it. You can see it online here- The best seed and nursery stock available since 1892 - Henry Field's

They have so many items I have searched for in the past I wish I still had a farm!!!!!!! Fruit trees. Nut Trees. Berries. Potatoes. So many varieties of things!!! Pawpaws!!! They even sell cool house plants including coffee, pineapple, oranges, jasmine and pomegranate.

    Lets talk plants!!!!!!

LOL! I'm the same. I'm the only person in my family who doesn't have a green thumb. It sucks especially when everyone says that they want to come and see my garden! This year will be different!

I've put in for notices if some of the fruit trees go on sale. We want to put a cherry and pear in teh backyard. Will I have to plant 2 of each for pollenation?

There is certainly a market. My neighbour hasa been trying to several years to get someone over to her house. They gave up with the first person..thought they had something set up last year, but no one came.

The easiest answer is yes. Pears will set more fruit if you plant two. There are self pollinating cherries but it depends on which one you want to plant.

Most nurseries will do a general design on the cheap if you are buying the plants from them. Having a designer come in and draw you a pretty picture is expensive, and time consuming for the designer. If I was in London I'm sure you would all keep me busy!

My parents have one of each and they get lots of both cherries and pears.

I have a pineapple plant indoors. Just thought I would share that. It's my only plant.
