Does anyone know about a broken toe?

So i fell down the staris today and I think I broke my middle toe, So my question is, Should I go to emerge or not as I am not sure if they will do anything about a broken toe and I hate to waste my time sitting there for several hours.

Does anyone know if they would cast it?

No, they will not cast it, they would probably tape it to another toe.

as far as i know they wont really do anything! they have to let it heal on its own! well that is what i have heard anyway! good luck

Do not tape it for a week, if you tape it now, the toe will heal crooked!! I broke my toe in Florida the doc said wait a week or two, or it will heal with a bend in it.

that is what i was going to say. I broke the one next to my big toe and now it is curved...only way to fix it is to brake it again

I usually take a popsicle stick, one on the top and one on the bottom, steighten it out and tape it for a couple of days. Then after that tape it to the next toe.

Sucks that it happened in the winter though.

It really depends though...my mom recently broke her toe and they had to “reset it“ because it went sideways when she broke it....THAT HURT! OUCH!! and then they taped it...so if your toe is still facing the right way, they won't do anything, but if it is facing sideways or a different direction than normal, you should head in to the hospital or it will heal sideways....

I broke my toe in the past and my 2 middle toes looked like the letter V. So mom taped taped them together. Good as new. If there is no bend then I would let it heal as is. Good luck and have a speedy recovery.

I have broken almost all of my toes at one point or another so now they break a lot... LOL If you are going to tape it, make sure you straighten it first like others said..I got some crooked tootsies cause of this!!! And becareful with that toe once it heals... alot of mine have broken again.

I went to emerge for a broken toe once. I waited 2 hours then got charged $25 for a pair of crutches and told to stay off my foot for a week. That was it. So not worth it.

I broke my pinky a couple of months ago... that hurts so friggen bad. I didn't go and get seen and it has healed. It was pretty straight and it still is, but it is still bigger then it was before.
