    Default Packing woes...

I need to pack. Like, today. I'm moving on Friday. Right now I have 4 boxes packed. Gah.

    Any packing tips to share?

Pack your kitchen last. Pack room by room, clearly label the boxes and what is in it. Take the move as a time to purge. Don't bother packing stuff you don't want or need.

Pack according to room. Pack least important things first. Purge and pack.

wrap breakables in towels and face cloths.

    LMAO Tansie!

Good advice you guys, thanks. The kitchen will be done last, yep, that's great. As for what to pack/purge... ahhh it's so overwhelming! Some stuff is clear, some stuff not so much. And if I'm doing least important first, which I am, it's all coming at me at once! Gah.

first off.. turn on some music.. grab a nice glass of whatever.. bubbly's good
then put a huge box by the front door..
start packing your boxes.. if you look at the item 2x throw it in the big box.. DONATE it!
    hth....

Haha! Yeah that would be awesome if I could justify paying someone to pack my shit. Tho it puts me in a better mood about my self-diagnosed ADD. Yesterday I was cursing my flakiness when I locked my keys in the car. Today I am happy for it LOL.

I love packing (unpacking is another story)
    Everyone's advice is great.
If you stick to one room, and forget about the other rooms it keeps it simple. If you didn't use it last week you won't need it this week..label it, pack it up.
The biggest mistake I always made was underestimating how much time it takes to pack all the stuff I thought was ok to do 'last minute'.
Pack the things you are using in a box and live out of that box..that way you won't run short on boxes either.

Wow..that's cool..wish that would happen to me. I“m sure if I root through dd's room I'll find money she's forgotten about that's stashed in weird places.

M should get a kick out of helping.

If after you move you have boxes you haven't opened in a few months, you don't need what's in it. I made numerous trips to Goodwill AFTER we moved, was annoying.
Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.
