    Question Step 2 formula?

First, let me preface this with the fact that I am not breastfeeding, and am not looking for breast vs bottle debates.

DD is 7 months and we are running low on formula. When I went to pick up a new can, I noticed the step 2 varieties for babies 6 months+ who are eating solids. Considering the price is the same, would you get the step 2, or continue with the usual stuff?

I plan to wean to whole milk at 9 months.

Is your lo eating solids? The step 2 is based on the fact that your child is getting some of its daily nutrition from things OTHER than just formula, in my understanding.

And step 2 is higher in iron as their stocks run out around 6 months. This can cause major constipation in some babies. My first got really blocked up with step 2 so he stayed on step 1 until milk at 9 months.

Yes, she is eating solids. Sorry, I forgot to mention that. We have done cereals/fruits/veggies and are starting meats this week. The can said step 2 has more calcium.
