Default What the heck should i get my soon to be 6 year old and 2 year old for bdays

Both my boys have birthdays this month. They got tons of toys and clothes for christmas so they really don't need anymore. I know J we will get him a DS game cause he got the system for christmas but what else to I get him. MY 2 year old I am stumped. Does anyone know of a little hand held game or something that is good for that age. He loves to pretend that he is playing his brothers DS. This is why I hate having january babies. My mom is getting the oldest board games and money to go to great wolf. The youngest she has gotten him a cash register and will give him money as well.

What about a membership to the Childrens museum, or Story book gardens, skates, toboggans.

They have a tobaggan and refuses to learn to skate. Maybe I will look into a family membership to storybook.

we have a bday coming up here too.

Jan 13th here. He'll be 3. Same predicament.

I figure Matthew got to go to GWL for his bday, so Nathan will get the same thing (just a little after his bday).

Funny I'm reading this. Dh and I were JUST talking about this. Our DS is 2 on the 17th and we're stumped.

Yeah I know Jan birthdays are difficult. DS's is tomorrow. I have just gotten smart and held his party back a few weeks, as the Christmas rush and a party right after was too much!

As for what to get? I like to get things we can do together. Science experiment kits go over well. As do lego kits he needs help with. This buys us an afternoon together. I held back some stuff that I would otherwise probably have given for Christmas. He doesn't know the difference.

I think an activity or membership is a good idea. Movie tickets? Disney on Ice?

My boys just got these from my BFF at Christmas time and LOVE them! And its great for car rides and there is no extra pieces & they trade off on them constantly.
