Default French Playgroup - supportive & mom doesn't need to speak French!

    Hi Moms,

Just wanted to post some info about a fantastic free french playgroup in London for those interested in introducing their baby/toddler/pre-schooler to speak/understand French. This is a great environement for moms as you do not need to speak French yourself, but if you do or if you want to brush up on your French it's great for you too. There is free snack included as well as crafts, circle time, free play etc... One some days there is even free lunch!

I have been going since last spring with my daycare kids and we always have tons of fun! My son has picked up some French, and my French is starting to come back.

The playgroup is at the French school on the corner of Dundas and Highbury Ave. - 1260 Dundas St.

It's open every day through the week except Tuesday.

You can park right in front of the school and then just push the upper button on the key pad to be let into the school. The playgroup is straight upstairs and the first door on your left. Mme. Jennifer is the playgroup leader.

Hope to see some new faces come out!

Thanks for sharing Jen ... the Dundas OEYC also hosts a French playgroup on Wednesdays I believe - we have gone and enjoyed it - but I was a little disappointed last week when I tried to take my kids to the French group at the Jean Vanier OEYC and was told that we could not attend because it was just for the French speaking community .... didnt feel very inclusive to me at all and was a little shocked actually to be turned away from a publically funded place due to my language of origin

From what I remember (I called inSept) it's every day from 9:30-3:30 except Tuesday. I can call to double check tomorrow if one of you reminds me.
