    Default applying for cctb

I am filling out DS' birth registration and application for cctb.
The cctb form says I have to include copy of birth certificate or registration as proof of birth.

For anyone who has applied lately, what did you include as proof of birth? Registration of birth can take awhile, then I have to send a copy of that in? Or can I send in a copy of the application for registration?

    Thanks.

    never mind
I misread the application - I only have to send proof of birth if he is over 1 yrs old, or born outside of canada. Helps when you read the instructions!

You are forgiven. Fourth trimester-head!! Happens to all of us.

Believe me, I was sitting here wracking my brain thinking that you shouldn't have to provide proof of registration/birth certificate... it hadn't changed THAT much in four years, right?!?!

    Glad you figured it out!

Actually, you still need to include something. I made a photocopy of the papers I was mailing for Nathans birth registration.

I applied in September 2006 and we were not required to send in anything (other than making sure the birth was registered) and everything was processed and in the bank within 7 weeks.

the form only says i need to send something if he was born out of canada or if he is over one year old. I checked online too, so I am not sending anything.

I called my midwifes office for the details and was told unless the baby is over a year or not born in Canada nothing is required.

Our girls were born in July 2006 and I didn't send anything but the application and I received my updated benefit plus retroactive for the Sept run. so less than 2 months with no inclusives, just the app.
