Default Beverly Hills windows? And Forest City windows?

Has anyone used or heard of either company? We're looking to replace our mainfloor windows.

Beverley hills is SUPER OVERPRICED.... I'm not talking a bit here. It's like $1000's overpriced.

I don't know about Forest City Windows.

if you are trying to be economical, but still get good quality, I would explre the option of buying standrad sized windows and framing up to them. customs are like quadruple the price.

We used Forest CIty Windows and Doors for 7 windows and they were great. Very neat install and good craftsmanship. Ask for Ralph. The price was reasonable too.

Wow! Beverly Hills came in at less than lormac here. 5500 including tax for a large picture window(3 slider design), a smaller bathroom slider plus two larger bedroom sliders. I thought that was a good price, no? Good to hear the negatives here because we were leaning towards them. (Wasn't a fan of Lormac although they had good reviews on here).
We meet with Forest City on friday so we'll see what they come up with price wise.

We use Talbotville windows. They are well priced, family owned and really nice people. I would recommend getting a quote from them.

We have used Lormac and Homecastle. I see Homecastle signs all over Old South. We were please with both companies.
We did get a quote from Beverly Hills a while ago, they were competitively priced in IMO. Didn't go with them though, and they still call all the time.

I LOVE Forest City Windows. They are replacing our windows in the next 2 weeks and all my interactions with them so far have been wonderful. We got 4 quotes on our windows, all were similarly priced except for Lormac which was way higher and they also gave a hard sales job on us which turned me right off.

I asked a number of people for recommendations and everyone who mentioned Forest City gushed about them - just like I am doing now. Seriously, people went on and on about how great they were. And after having them here to do the quote and to come back to confirm it I see why. Nice, down to earth, professional, fair pricing, great windows, efficient service and they obviously care and like what they do. They remind me of what good customer service looks like.

I have Dashwood Windows in my home and they are excellent or you can check out Centennial Windows (both locally manufactured).

Homecastle is a flat out no for us. We wanted a quote from them for our siding, they came out took all the measurements, told us they would drop off the quote and then nevver heard from them again. Dh even called to ask when they were dropping off the quote and nothing. grr We went with Bakker instead. Hopefully it will be up soon.

Doulamom, I felt the same about the Lormac salesman, very pushy and unprofessional. When he was here, I happened to be making some dough as he went by me he actually said “Oh and she bakes too? You don't see that often anymore.“ He lost the sale right there, even if his manner had become better, which it didn't!

I'm curious now about Forest City, I'm glad we chose to call them as now BHills sounds like a no too. I hate quote shopping. blech!

For the windows? We had to wait 4-6 weeks but only because we ordered a custom patio door. They should likely be in next week.

It sounds like we had the same sales guy from Lormac.

Forest City is also the other company that has whatever certification the Lormac guy kept going on and on about. I also checked them through the Better Business Bureau and they have a spotless record.
