Question Who else gets their kids in the middle of the night to use the loo?

I'm checking to see if I'm not the only want to get both kids up to do a midnight run to the potty.

Ive been trying to get them into a routine so when they have a need to go - then I'm not dealing with sheet changing in the the early ams...

Am I the only mom that does this or is this a routine thing to do when your kids are training to go thru the night

    thanks!

We did this with DD for a couple of weeks, then it just got to the point that it wasn't necessary.

Feet, why do I need them if I have wings to fly?

We used to take our DDs before we went to bed. Usually my DH would take them because he went to bed later than I did. It lasted until my oldest was almost 5 and then we just stopped because it didn't seem as necessary anymore.

    What she said
We've just been leaving him and he is wearing pull ups to bed and is wet about 50% of the time. I am getting sick of buying pullups and would rather not deal with wet sheets in the night so I think I will start doing this before I go to bed at midnight.

We haven't ever done it with any of our kids. They all including Noah will wake up on his own. However if I put him in a pull up he will pee in it lol

I keep saying I'm going to start doing this again but she screams and I hate it so I don't do it.

I have never done this. It takes forever for them to go to sleep, there's no way I would wake them up after that!

I should add, we tried it and only continued because my kids literally slept right through it. It was kind of humorous actually! We would whisper in their ear, “___ it's Mommy (or Daddy), your sitting on the toilet, go pee now“ and it was like waterworks.

I do this with our DD. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she won't.

I had meant to do this, but DD just decided to start going by herself in the middle of the night. She was still in pull-ups until this week, and she started waking up to pee even though she had a pull up on. So I decided to chance it and just put undies on her. We are going on her 4th night of just undies and no accidents (knock wood) yet. She automatically wakes up and goes to her potty, then goes right back to bed.

This is us as well. We train pretty late (between 2.5-3 years), and usually don't have to worry about bed wetting.

That being said, our last 3 toliet trainees have been girls and they have bladders like camels...

Same here! We should video tape it one night just to show my DD how out of it she is. Usually she'll say “I peed like Niagara Falls“ or something cute like that.
