Default Today I want to chit chat about OMG IT IS LIKE A FESTIVAL OF FLAVOUR!

Yes, I am officially addicted to apple stroop.

Apple Stroop - $3.75 : Dutch Variety Foods: Dutch and Indonesian spices, foods, cookies, cheese and more for over 40 years., Quality Dutch and Indonesian foods

I was suspicious of the stuff, since it looks like vegemite and the dutch have been known to seriously screw me over in the sweets department (hello? WHO PUTS FREAKING BAKING SODA IN THE CENTRE OF A CANDY?? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??)
but this is the most delicious thing on toast I have ever had.

    That is all.

There! Mmm. Can't wait until it's time to have toast again. Between this and garlic smoked gruyere, I think I'm ok with Holland again after the nasty candy fiasco.

I have never heard of it before but it sounds good. Do you buy it online or can you get it anywhere? I do see Nutella all of the time at the grocery store (it is like it calls my name) and think man I would like some of that but I resist temptation.

It's not similar to apple butter. If you close your eyes it would be closer to apple jam I guess? But super-concentrated. MMMM I am craving it all over again. sigh.
