Default Looking to start a group-ish....

    Hey all..
I'm wanting to start a get together circle if you will....be it mornings and we meet once a week for breakfast...or a book club, or getting a coffee in the evenings...
we can decide what works best for whoever is interested...but I just need to start getting out more and figured there must be other moms in the same situation.
I am 23 and my little girl is 3 weeks. We are still getting into a routine and feeling eachother out, but I'm ready to start getting out again.
Let me know if you are interested. I was thinking Mondays....

p.s. I don't get the lingo on here at all....what's the DD and DS???

I'd be internested. I'm due any day now so I can't really get out much at the moment. But I do also have a 15 month old if you don't mind older babes coming out as well.

I'd be very interested in a book club, because the last book club that I ran sort of slowed down (well... stopped) because almost everyone has moved away.

You can find a “glossary“ of the lingo we use here: Common short forms and acronyms

Book club in the evening sounds good to me...I guess that means no kiddies, though? I'm fine with that

I'd prefer to bring my new baby once she is born because I'm sure I won't feel comfortable leaving her while she is nursing (took me about 6 months with DD to be comfortable with the idea of leaving her).. so if we plan an evening book club, my one year old can be left with her father, but I would definitely like to bring out my nursing babe.

Also wanted to add, what kind of book are we interested in? Light reading, chick-lit type stuff? Or do we want books with a little more substance?

Book clubs are great! I'd say do a mix of types. For example, at the first time you meet, everyone brings a suggestion of one or two books they'd like to read.

I will be bringing my baby as well so no worries jessica. Or, for at least as long as she is BF.
I think meeting and discussing what kind of books we want to read would be a good idea.

ok, so when would be able to get together???
Does monday evenings work for everyone? then we can bring a list of a couple books that we like and go from there.
I can host it at my house if that works.
