    Default Preemie Clothes?

My friend just had her baby 8 weeks early, everyone is doing well and her new dd was 3 lbs 5 ozs. I am wondering where I could buy some preemie clothes for this new little one?

    Thanks for any help.

My DD was 2lbs when she was born and we got a lot of her clothes at Childrens Place (they were still too big however)-- but Wal Mart now has a selection there at a reasonable price. Cheeky Monkey has some as well but quite pricey. Sears also has 5lbs and 7lb clothing... I can ask around and see if anyone would be willing to lend her some.... but I know alot of ppl like to keep their premie clothes... only thing that really reminds us how small they really were!
Glad to hear that everyone is doing well!

I've seen preemie clothes in the Babies R' Us section of Toys R' Us.

Sears always has baby clothes. I never bought Ryan any preemie clothes, I always used the stuff that they had at the hospital.

Gymboree also has up to 7lb stuff that fits pretty small (fit DD right at 5lbs perfectly).

Also try calling KC's CLOSET in St.Thomas. She used to have a great supply of preemie clothes. I think because they wear them such a short time, and are not exactly that active at that size, they tend to be great for consignment stores
Maybe also try places like Once Upon a Child.

I just saw a bunch at the Bay this week. Carters and Kushies sell preemie. If you can make it to Port Huron, there is tons of choice there. Otherwise, your best bet might be the LMBA sale next weekend. I noticed a lot of preemie clothes there in the spring--likely lots of multiples are smaller than singletons.

Funky monkey and Cheeky monkey have lots, but are very pricey. Sears and the Bay usually have some. I found the newborn GagouTagou stuff at Bonnie Togs fits very small and can almost pass for preemie once it is washed/dried.

My son was 3 lbs as well and I put him in these outfits from West Coast Baby. Cheeky Monkey also carries them. They are great for NICU as all the tubes can still have easy access. I think they would make a great baby gift....they also have the matching blankets.
