    Default Diarrhea Help

My DD has had diarrhea for the past week. She is fine otherwise. She is potty trained but has developed what looks like diaper rash. I threw out all of the diaper rash cream is there anything else I can use? Any ideas on getting rid of diarrhea as well?

Try using vaseline, and a couple of lukewarm baths.

As for getting rid of the diarrhea...has she been eating normally while she's had it? Sometimes I find the BRAT diet doesn't help in some cases, and introducing her regular diet again might help. Try yogurt--good bacteria, and it cured me last time I had it!

I am using vaseline now and she is hardly eating at all, which is really not abnormal for her. I bought some probiotic yogurt and drinks tonight so hopfully that will help.

    Thanks Ladies

Diarrhea is our bodies way of getting rid of toxins and bugs in our bodies. Don't let it scare you unless she isn't eating or drinking to keep up with it. Find a healthy electrolyte drink if you feel she needs it. You can use a probiotic supplement for children taken internally and also make a paste out of it for the rash. Any questions you can pm me as i can't make recomendations on the forum other than what i have done myself as a mom.
