    Question Summerside Church

I just started to go to Summerside two weeks ago. I was going to an Anglican church but felt I needed a more modern church. I'm due in December with our first and want to know if there are good children programs there? What have you found the atmosphere like?

When I was on mat leave I use to go to the OEYC playgroup (wed mornings I think) there and found it to be very welcoming and a great atmosphere.

I can't really speak of the weekly programs there, as I don't attend church, but I can tell you that the church is VERY family and community oriented. I also used to go the OEYC Wed program there and got to know the pastor's wife, Faith. She is such a wonderful person, and LOVES children. I have still kept in touch with her. She has started up a MOPS group at the church, as well as Family Fun nights one Friday a month. It is very welcoming - if I were to attend church, that would be the one that I would go to.

Thanks so much for your comments. What does OEYC stand for?

what kind of Church and where abouts is Summerside? we are moving to London in a few weeks and will be looking for a new Church to call home.

OEYC stands for Ontario Early Years Center.

Summerside is a community church with Baptist connections. It's in southeast London located at 1447 Commissioners Rd. East.

I used to go a few years ago. Since then they've redone the whole building.
I really like it and the atmosphere.

If anyone is looking for a church to attend there is Harvest Bible Chapel which meets in Banting High school, their website is Harvest Bible Chapel - London - // Home you are ALL more than welcome to check it out. Has a REALLY great kids program, biblically based, etc.
