LOL, right on! It's so nice when you start hearing the words they mean to say. That's a very funny first sentence! Congrats.

I love this thread. yay for all the kidlets!

I just want to say, I can't remember the last really bad day. She is so much calmer and relaxed. That's not to say we don't struggle at times, but our moments feel more 'normal'. Now if only we could get the baby to sleep so I can get my short sanity breaks, we'd be golden!

She is so loving and affectionate these days. She's so easy to smile and she comes over and spontaneously kisses and hugs me. I'm just so thrilled with her progress. Even other people are noticing the positive changes.

Default I have another one to celebrate!

Yesterday we had a great day. DD was very well behaved. We wen't to swimming lessons with no melt downs, then we wen't to a birthday party for a 4 year old, there we adults and children. We could actually let her go and have fun with the kids without her trying to leave the house or break something. We actually got to have some adult conversation without watching her every move. We are so happy. Hopefully it will get better and better as she gets older. And when we were getting ready to leave she walked around the whole house and gave everyone a hug. It was very cute.

This is such a huge accomplishment! Parties can be such a tense situation with DS so I know how big this is for your family. Great news!

Okay...so not entirely posting in the way this was meant to be, but wasn't sure where else to share. I changed my first mic-key today with just assistance over the phone. DS did cry, but only once the new one was in. I am not sure if it was a delayed reaction but would have been shorter lived if he had his soother at the time. I'm just so shocked I actually did it, DH had offered but I thought as the main caregiver I should try. (I've always been grossed out by the stoma - and still am but at least know I can do this!)
