Yesterday my DD2 started a new swimming class, and she was in the class without her sister (first time). And she talked! Loudly! In the past she would have been silent. I could hear her from the bleachers and she was on the opposite side of the pool to me. “I want to go first!“, as clear as a bell (to me anyway. Too bad the teacher didn't seem to understand anything she said ). BUT, when the teacher asked her to repeat herself, she did. Which is also new.
I was also told this week that she has a language delay, which is not surprising. But yay for the fact that she even speaks enough that we can now tell that she has a language delay.

Daegan has had “all happy“ days in his communication book every day this year!!!! He is doing the same work as the other kids in his class (but takes longer) and is recieving 1/2 day EA support (not full day). I am enjoying all this as long as it lasts!!!!!! It really makes me feel better about my choice to have him repeat grade one... particularly because I had to fight so hard to get his school to agree this

Sophie finally ate a complete meal well most of it anyways.
I have discovered that she likes to eat Mr. Noodles so we have been mixing veggies and meat in it. It seems to work.
Finally b/c there are days where she will only go with eating oatmeal and some milk and a snack or two but nothing enough to sutain her

Yeah! That is good news! My ss is autistic and has to have a cheese sandwish every day, often only will eat the cheese sandwich so I know how wonderful it can be when they will eat a full good meal. (I've been known to sneak pureed vegetables into the sauces he puts on his food)

OMG.....DS asked to go to the potty
OMG.....DS asked to go to the potty.
He had pooped his diaper, but at least he communicated this and let us put him on the toilet without kicking or screaming.
This is such a big deal....we have tried for months to get him to sit on the potty but it ends in meltdowns/screaming fits.
One step at a time!

The other day DS had fun shopping. YES!!! He laughed in the cart instead of his usual melt down. I am so proud of him as shopping is very difficult for him as is any new surrounding.
