I did it with DD. For the first month I did it weekly I think, then for the yearI did it monthly. Not always the same spot in the house though. I took the idea from SuperMom.

To personalize it, I would always type up, her name, and the date, how many months old (and her weight and height if I had it done reciently) on a piece of paper and have her hold it up.

They are so cute to do!

OH MY!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HER HOUSE!!! people actually live like that? damn. I thought it was just magazines. I am beyond jealous. Love the picture idea, we didnt do one of DS in the same spot, but for the last 2 years we've done a craft of tracing him on brown paper (which he loves) he colours and paints it and then we write on top with how tall he is, what his favorite toys and games are.. his current likes and dislikes etc. then we fold it up and put it in a memory book. He loves taking them out and seeing exactly how big he was/is. It's a great reference for him right now and I'm sure I'll love looking at them years down the line when he's no longer little!

Too funny I was thinking almost the exact same thing in the same wording.

We take pics of DS1 with a special doll every few months and we will do the same with DS2.

I started that with DS. I also included a stuffed bear in the photo as another gauge of size.

My house does NOT look like that!

I did this with DS2, not every month but about 4-5 times his first year.

if anyone here DOES have a house like that, why havent you let us come gawk?? LOL
I think thats a neat idea - you could even make it into a calendar for grandparents and give it at christmas. they love that stuff!

What a great idea. I wished I would have thought of that back then.
