    Default churches in London

Hello, this would be my second post on here!
We attend an evangelical Baptist church where we live now, and when we move to London we will be needing a new place of worship. The place we go to now we are very involved in, we absolutly love and are heart broken that we have to leave, however discussing this wiht my children we have all agreeed we would like to go to a place that has more youth and is way more upbeat than our home church.

    Just looking for ideas.

Apparently Gateway is the place to be, although I haven't been...no buses that early from where I am on Sundays.
We've been going to the Baptist church on Thompson Rd for the past month or so. It's tiny, but just down the street from us.

*I know nothing about churches or religion* but I have heard very good things about Forest City Community Church.

Hillside Community Church might be worth checking out. It is in the Old South area but easy to get to. It used to be a Baptist Church and it has lots of youth to the church.

A close church to you will be North Park Community Church- it's at Fanshawe Park Road and Highbury. I went there for a number of years, however we have moved to Lambeth so it's a hike for us. It's evangelical, but it is non-denominational. It is quite large (1000 congregants), but it has a great “feel,“ and there are lots of groups and it has a real community focus. A large focus of the church is also encouraging members to be a part of a small group.

Moving to London and coming from a Bible based church, lead us to North Park. Its a great church, but found it too 'big' for us. A neighbour recommend Royalview Pentecostal (on Clarke Rd, south of Dundas, north of Trafalgar if looking on a map) because it a had an awesome youth group (mine are teens). We been there 4 years now and I have to agree. Awesome youth group movement.

We considered Royal View when we were looking - It was our second choice.

We ended up at Gateway and have been there for 2 years. Love it there. Soooo many kids. The toddler room can have 15-20 kids PER SERVICE. Very young church, lots of young families. 60 kids under schooling age each service kind of thing. This was the major pro for them over Royal View.

I'd suggest finding a few recommendations and trying them all out. We took a few months and looked around first.

If you want to listen to some of the services from gateway they are all online here: More to Chew On

I attend forest city community church. I love it so much there. Fantastic kids program. Not real close, I live closer to the college and it takes me about 20 min. There is a 9:30 and 11:15 service. I would just shop around a bit. Attend a few services to figure out which church might fit your family best.

I now go to Forest City Community Church too, and love it. It goes by the “Willow Creek“ church model.

We go to North Park Community Church. It is amazing! The children's programs are fantastic and very well run. My kids LOVE it there.

It is at the corner of Fanshawe and Highbury.

We go to the 9:30 as well. I recognize you from picking my DS up from the child care.
