    Default PMS, natural help

So I suffer from wicked mood swings. I am talking about a huge ***** factor...every month I am kicking DH out or leaving him. I have been this way since I hit puberty and over the past few years I have really started to be aware of it. I am able to track it but my problem is controlling it. I can't.

I have come off my medication for PPD (Wellbutrin) and my mood stabilizer (Risperdone) over the past couple of weeks on the advice of my doctor. If any of you remember I posted about being nauseous a lot and so it seems it may have been med related. I feel that it is very likely I will not need any of these types of meds once we move with the fabulous support system we will have (family and friends). At least this is what I am hoping for.

So I would like to know if any of you have suggestions as to how i can get a grip on my PMS naturally. The ideas I have now are meditation and Yoga, but what about herbal supplements...or vitamins? I know for a fact that not using any aids does not work for me. I would like to keep my marriage happy and not throw him out the door for 2 weeks every month lol I'm sure he'd like that too

i've taken omega's and they help a great deal...my dr. figures i have PMDD but i don't want to take any other meds unless necessary.

Calcium has been shown to help decrease PMS symptoms...but can take several months to start working.

My dr. also suggested Magnesium too. So i've been taking Calcium/Magnesium with Vitamin D.

I also take B Complex and it seems to help somewhat.

yoga and meditation have been VERY helpful for me.

avoiding fatty foods and decreasing caffeine in the 10 days before my period also helps.

I'm taking evening primrose oil... for increasing fertile CM... anyhoo.. It has many benefits in treating many ailments. Don't take it if you are pregnant though as it can be made into prostiglandins(sp) when broken down by the body... (the hormone that induces labour)

There is loads of info about it if you search!
