    Angry Potato Peeler/Can Opener RAGE!

Thats it. Seriously. Since I left the ex I haven't been able to find a decent potato peeler or can opener. The ones I left behind I had for over 10 years. What the heck happened? Did they just give up making good ones?

The amount of money I have spent is ridiculous. I am on my third peeler. The first two were sharp. Too sharp! They weren't straight like the old fashioned ones instead you had to pull them towards your hand and I got tired of peeling me with the potatoes. The new straight one I just bought for $10 is dull.

Can openers. ugg. It is very simple folks it needs to actually OPEN the can. At what point did that become an added feature?

All this makes McDonalds sound good tonight.

    Rant over.

Try a Starfrit can opener - they have them in Walmart and at Superstore, it was the 3rd one we tried.

If you find a decent peeler, let me know!

Thanks for the recommendation. I thought Starfrit was a cheap name? I don't like the ones that cut the side of the can, only the top...ya know? Which way does yours cut??

I threw out my can opener cause it was so old and yucky.. bought another one and hated it.. I dug through the garbage to get my old yucky one back lol. (another reason I *heart* bleach lol)

my peeler... I brought home from China cause it was the best one I've ever used, it looks cheap as hell, DH hates it, but it works SOOO perfectly. (the handle has now been wrapped in electrical tape cause it broke lol)

although I love starfit, never ever shake it... My DS happened to be right there, spooning ravioli out of the can when I shook it and his hand came up, catching the can.
I cut his tendon in his index finger 90-95% through... he needed surgery to repair the damage... let me tell you, I thought it was a safer option then the other can openers who has the sharp edges...

I think that may be a good idea if you were doing a lot of potatoes. I usually use three a day. Its quicker for me to peel , chop and mash. Besides I won't do anything that adds another dish/bowl to my dish washing. (Remember I don't do well with dishes)

However!!!! Mary-Anne was holding MY peeler in that video!!! It was like even she was laughing at me....haha I have your peeler and I'm not even going to use it!!!

    FAIL.
