    Default Cough syrup for ME

I hate cough syrup. I think all kinds I have ever tried make me want to gag. BUT.........I NEED SOME BADLY!!

Can you suggest a kind that works wonders and doesn't taste like yuck? Thanks

First you need to remeber there are a couple of types of cough syrup

    1. Expectorant- loosens mucus to help you cough it up- with an ingredient like guaifenesin.

    2. Cough Suppressant- has an ingredient like dextromethorphan.

I find most of the brand name ones taste ok.
    I have 4 boys ages 7, 5, and 3 and newborn

The only cough medicine I have ever taken that actually helped was Buckley's.
