Default What is WRONG with people?

I just bought groceries yesterday & decided to use some of the new Renee's Sesame & Teriyaki stir fry sauce that I picked up on our dinner tonight. I have everything ready to just add the sauce and when I go to open the bottle I notice it's already open. weird. then I notice that the little seal inside is also open and it has mould growing on the inside. wtf? who opens sth like that in RCSS and then just tucks it back up on the shelf??!?

Thanks asshat!!! Now we have no sauce for our stir fry and I'm out $3!

YIKES We had the same thing happen with miracle whip. I brought it back to the store and they were surprised. It happens too often. It is not my mistake so I will not keep it.

Take it back to the store and tell them what happened - hopefully they will give you your money back - but that really stinks. The nerve of some people!

That happened to me with a jar of baby food.. It doesn't matter how much you spend.. its still a pain in the ass and a huge health risk. I dont understnad people who do that either.

Sorry your dinner was ruined tonight!

I had something like that happen at No Frills. I had a mad craving for almonds, so I went and picked up a can. Got home, went to dig into them and realized that someone beat me to it! I guess someone was hungry while grocery shopping, and decided to open a can and then put them back when they were done. I was so pissed. So I went back and told them what happened. They let me get a new (unopened) one, and told me that this happens quite frequently!? People are ridiculous.

ewww.... I don't get how people can be so freaking inconsiderate!! No wonder prices are going up at an ever increasing rate. Because asshats like that can't have the decency to leave stuff the eff alone. Oh and then basically stealing because your hungry?! You couldn't wait until you got home? wtf??!! If I see it happening I sure as hell say something, that's stealing plain and simple. Since when is it ok to test out groceries?? Sorry, it's a serious pet peeve of mine. I've bought a box of sugar free popcicles for Miss A and got a discount because the box was open and 2 were missing. WTH? Again, a serious entitlement issue with today's society.

i've had it happen too...take it back. they should give you a new one. as an aside...i even take stuff back that goes bad before the expiry date. i found that i was loosing a lot of money throwing stuff out that wasn't keeping as long as it stated, so i started taking it back and getting fresh stuff.

oh man, i was so ticked when I wrote this! I ended up pouring it down the sink and venting to my kids. poor babies. I thought about returning it but couldn't find the receipt. Oh well, I ended up making a homemade kick-ass sauce out of stuff we had in the fridge including some saffron aioli.

I've had this happen with curry sauce too. The store told me the same thing - its quite common. It makes me so mad that someone would be so selfish as to sample something and then put it back on the shelf, putting my family at risk for some serious illness just so they dont have to be out a couple bucks.

I can't imagine opening a jar, sticking my finge in, closing the jar and putting it back on the shelf. That's gross. I would take it back too.

That's so rude!! I always check jars, cans etc. before picking them up (and usually reach past the first ones on the shelf). It sucks to have to think that way though.
