    Unhappy COSTCO Pharmacy

I will start off by saying, not only did I speak to the pharmacy, but also to the store manager.

I called costco on Tuesday morning to get their fax # to send in a script. My sister had just had surgery, and I was taking care of her, plus my two plus her little guy.
I got their fax #, and faxed in the script + a short note saying I would be there for p/u around 2 pm, along with my phone number in case they had questions. with my two little ones, and my sister waiting at home by herself, i did not want to wait. I had previously done this with shoppers and it was a non issue.

Anyway - I get to costco. They didn't fill teh script - they want me to wait 30 - 40 minutes - their reason??? That it didn't come from a dr's office. I brought in the original, and more importantly - I left my # - they coudl have called and said 'we can't fill this via fax'. I picked the script back up and talked to both the pharmacy employee and the manager (store manager) to express my anger and frustration.

I totally get their reasoning, but no phone call - that was not very nice! And that is a long time to wait for it to be filled! Never wait more than 15 min at my pharmacy!

I stopped going there too. I’ve had soooo many problems. Like you, they often don’t have meds on hand to fill prescriptions. Once they forgot to log my repeats in their system. I go to get my refill and fought with them over it. They wouldn’t dig out the original prescription (they have to keep them). My GP’s office won’t call in prescriptions so I had to wait a week for my appointment to get a new one. That was the last straw.

I always just had a problem with spending the money on their membership for the priviledge of shopping in their store. I dont always find its that great of a deal. My husband convinced me to give it a try, and after 5 years, I still dont see the big deal. Good to know not to get my meds there!

I wont use them after they told me a certain cough medicine would not interact with D's meds so I bought it and for some reason I went to shoppers with it before using it and guess what when taken along with her meds one being a blood pressure med she could have some serious complications

I've never had my prescriptions filled there, but now for sure I won't.

Off topic....I miss Sam's Club. Costco sucks.

Everything I love is illegal, immoral or fattening.
