Default How much does your 12 month old eat?

My child is an eating machine....really. Today she hasn't stopped eating since her eyes opened. Well, she did have one break when she was sleeping. And what do you feed your 12 month old. Mine will eat an entire banana, an adult size mini yogurt (not a minigo), and other finger foods and then still bf after the meal and sometimes before. She is beyond the 100th percentile on the growth chart for her weight, and her length is near the 100th percentile. All in all I am not really worried about her size, my eldest was quite similar at the same age, but maybe some nutritious food ideas for a hungry mouth?

Mine is a hoover as well. She's not huge, just average, but she can pack back more than her 3yo sister. When we have pasta, she eats as much as me. Must be the age!

Is she eating eggs yet? I find that some scrambled eggs with cheese in it in the morning is very filling. Lots of fat and protein to keep them going. That's usually my DS's weekend breakfast.

Thanks for the menu, sounds like he eats similar to my daughter. At her 9 month appt she was 26lbs 30 inches. I have to book her 12 month appt, but I am sure she is over 30lbs now! Maybe I should give her more water and less bM.

my DD isn't as old as yours but this is what she eats on a given day...
wake up - 8oz homo milk
breakfast - approx 1/4 cup dry mutigrain cheerios, yogurt, blueberries and whatever other fruit we have, usually half a piece of toast and water from a sippy cup
snack - water, fruit, baby rice cake (sometimes with a little jam)
lunch - veggies, cheese, meat (usually roast beef deli meet), lots of fruit, sometimes more yogurt
before nap - 6oz homo milk
    snack - cheese and fruit
dinner - HW pasta with sauce (or what ever we are having for supper), veggies, cheese, lots of fruit, sometimes the rest of her yogurt from lunch, water from sippy
before bed - 8 oz homo milk...

seriously, some days I am still amazed at what this little munchkin can pack away. She certainly eats more than I do.

at 9 months she was 20 lbs and 30 inches long - so by no means a huge baby!

Nothing interesting! She just eats what we eat. She never took to baby food, so since about 8-9mos I've just been dicing everything up.

    Wake up - bm
Breakfast - cereal with milk (cheerios or Life), juice, banana
    Snack - crackers and cheese
Lunch - soup with bread, sandwich, grilled cheese, wrap or whatever, berries or peach or something, milk
Snack - pita & hummus, apple, dry cereal, cookies, smoothie, etc.
Dinner - chicken, vegetables, rice, chili, pizza, stew, pasta, milk
    Bed - bm

I thought mine ate a lot, but apparently not compared to a lot of babes on here! Today for example she ate a few bites of muffin in the morning, almost half a bagel w/ cream cheese at lunch with water, and then some tofu spinach lasagna and strawberries about an hour ago. She nurses on demand, and will put away fruit like crazy but her appetite isn't huge apart from that. She is almost 14 mos.

My younger dd ate alot at that age, but eats like a bird now, my oldest has always eaten a ton, more than me now some days! I predict she'll be taller than me within a couple years!

I thought that it was that she was hungry today cause she kept on eating and eating and when she wasn't eating then she was crying and making me almost crazy......then I thought MAYBE it is teeth cause she is never like this. I felt around in her mouth......near the back? and sure enough there is another tooth trying to poke through. A molar. So thanks so much everyone, I will continue to feed her as I usually do, maybe more fruit and snacks like many of you do.
