    Default Pampers VS Huggies NB

For a newborn wich is better the pampers swadlers or the Huggies newborns? With my first I used Huggies but she out grew them so quickly and the seemed to leak every time she went but I'm not sure if the pampers will do the same. Any opinions?

I used disposables until mia was 4 weeks old and really liked the huggies, I didn't like the smell of the pampers and Mia got a bad rash from them too!

I used pampers when Ronyn was born. I would just experiment with buying a bag or each and seeing what you like better. Or I wonder if you could go on the website and get a free sample. Then you would'nt be stuck with a bag you dont like.

We used Pampers swaddlers and loved them. The Huggies were awful for us at that stage. Too many leaks (poop and pee). Now that she's older, Huggies are no problem for us.

We used the Huggies, but went through them A LOT. I mean to prevent an accident we changed every hour and hour and a half. I didn't even think to try a different kind. However, now, all we use is Huggies they work well and besides all the perfume in the Pampers gives the boys rashes.

We used the swaddlers when Cooper was born. He leaked out of the newborn Huggies but now he uses the Huggies because he leaks out of the Pampers.

We loved Swaddlers! Now we're almost stritctly Huggies (although I did find that the new Pampers fit DS very well now and he seems to be in between Huggies sizes)

I used Pampers at the newborn stage - it was what they used at the hospital. I did try Huggies and found they leaked. However, now (when I'm not using CD's) I use only Huggies - everything else leaks.

I think we used Huggies newborn, but the hospital used Pampers. I don't recall any problems with either. Now we use the Kirkland (Costco brand) and they are brilliant. As are their wipes.

I found the Huggies newborn size to be somewhat bigger than the Swaddlers newborn. When DD was about 8.5 lbs, she had already outgrown the Swaddlers newborn, but she was still fitting fine into the Huggies newborn. I found the Swaddlers leaked less, though, so I'd go for those and just choose a bigger size. Another thing I liked about the Swaddlers was that they have a sort of net on top of them, so the poo would absorb through it (since she was breastfed she had very loose bowel movements) and then the netting-type-thing would sort of hold it away from her skin, which was good because she seemed to be constantly peeing and pooing for her first month or so of life.

That's all I used for Madie the whole time and have started with Logan too. I don't have any problems...

I know my friend only used Huggies for her 3 kids.
