    Default Placenta Previa???

So I went to my Ultrasound today!! yeah!! I was super excited! She said everything looked good. Right after I had a OB appt with dr Schmidt and he commented that she did the full Ultrasound for the IPS screening ?!?! which we had already discussed I was NOT interested in. So he is clear she did that on her own and was not asked to do so. He was talking and commented that the tech had commented that she was concerned of Placenta Previa. Should I be worried??? I am only 13weeks!!! can they tell that soo early??

Gah! There is NO reason to worry at this point. Your uterus is so small that the chance the placenta is going to be over your cervix is very high at this point, but it means nothing because it usually migrates as your uterus grows. Some women still have placenta previa at 25, 30 weeks and it still usually migrates in time for the birth!

I had a low lying placenta at 15 weeks, placenta previa at 20 weeks and then a normal placenta location at 30 weeks! don't worry, like everyone else said, it will move!

I had a complete placenta previa....but like the pps most people don't end up with a previa at the end.

With mine I ended up with 2 months bedrest (admitted to the hospital a couple times too) and had him a bit over 3 weeks early (planned c-section).

Based on how my doctor explained mine to me I never thought mine would move and the US tech even said at one of my many US that I had a true complete placenta previa and mine wasn't moving. But the OB did US until I think a week before my c-section just in case it moved and I wouldn't need to have a c-section.

I had previa with this little one It really freaked me out.. but it just meant taking it easy, watching for ANY bleeding and having some extra ultrasounds. My placenta has now moved up one centemeter so my OB thinks we are ok for a vaginal birth He told me they almost ALWAYS move... unless they are completely covering the cervix... which at your you still have lots of time I know others have said all this - lol... just wanted to reassure you from a mom currently going through the exact same thing I will have one more unltrasound just to see where it is in case we have anycomplications... but it is not likely to cause any concern. It is a normal thing momma
