My girls love veggies and dip, or burritos, they also like to take a reusable drink. Any thing new and different usually has some flair. My oldest loves ravioli or left over spaghetti in a thermos. They are on the balanced school day so they have basically two lunch breaks and it makes it easier to make things that are splitable(sp?). My youngest does not like sandwiches so it will be interesting to try new things with her. They are going to camp next week so it will be trial week.

Another suggestion that I didn't see here (unless I missed it) is yogurt and granola. My son won't eat sandwiches either, so we use this one alot.

Mine will only eat peanut butter sandwiches...so at our school thats a NO unless the kids want to eat in another room..Mine take bagels and creamcheese.. They have lately taken a liking to the tuna and cracker packs. Nacho chips and sauce.

These are great ideas. Any more?

Will the teachers help open things if the kids can't get them open themselves? Like the yogurt tubes or apple sauce snacky things for example?

If you sign up on todaysparent.com you can subscribe to a 10 week newsletter of week-long lunch menus for school. I signed up last year for more balanced lunck ideas and I loved it. HTH.
