Default Motion Monster

My DS has never slept in his crib or playpen. He sleeps in a swing at night and either the swing or Beco or sling carriers during the day.

The problem is he is getting to long to keep sleeping in the swing, it's a small, low-to-the-ground portable swing.

He loves motion! So our attempts to get him sleeping in the crib are failing. I've been gently rocking him and laying him down in the crib, but he wakes up. Any suggestions?

Have you tried letting your little one sleep in the swing without it being on? Maybe while he's asleep keep turning it down until its off. Like.. swing weaning..

my Ds was exactly the same way, it started out with putting him wrapped up in a bassinett (didn't last long as he HATED being wrapped up) then to his crib. When he was awake he had to be moving so it was either his jumper thingy (we attached to the door frame), bouncer seat, walker, or his swing. It was nearly 6-9 months before we could get him to settle on his own in his crib. By the time he was a year he was walking and hasn't stopped since. He was Dx at 4 with ADHD. good luck.

Our swing turns off after 1/2 hr, so I was thinking the same thing. Transferring him to his crib after it goes off. Swing weaning lol!
