I'm looking at cloth diapers for the next child.
All these post are so much help. Please keep it going.
I'm slowly gathering my cloth diaper stash.
I can sew too, so I plan to try and make a few. The hard part is finding the right fabrics here in Canada.
I would like to know what products you use to clean them?
Joelle

There are a couple Canadian cloth diaper coops on Yahoo groups. One just for PUL and the other for assorted diaper making items. I have lost my links but I am sure someone here has them.

I have heard of Tide being one of the worst to cause build ups on diapers. I use liquid Sunlight, which is the same thing I use on my clothes.

I've also got some questions...what soap do you suggest for a front loader, as it has to be HE. We currently use Costco's Kirkland liquid for our clothes. And where is the best place to buy tea tree oil, or anything else you suggest for the washing cloth diapers?

costco has a great deal on TTO- in the vitamin area- last time I looked it came with a little book.
For my HE washer I use baking soda (1/4 cup or so?) a teaspoon or so of the President's Choice "green" liquid 3x concentrate detergent and a few drops of tto. I put vinegar and 1 more drop of TTO in the fabric softener despenser.

I use the Simply Clean detergent for my HE front loader...it's in the organic section of RCSS (and a whole other range of products too)

i have another question Its about sizing the diapers
How do you measure the rise of your child? And does it work for all diapers? And it is very acruate?(sp) On all of the sites they say to measure the rise but I dont know what that means!

I want a nappy bucket (wet/diaper pail) that has a twist or locking lid. Does anyone know where to get one?
