I sometimes have a bit of trouble with my other diapers (bum genius and happy heinys) leaking up the front, especially with my tummy sleeper. Is there any way I can fix that?
I'm not sure I like pockets that much because I feel like I'm not stuffing them right. Seems like once I pull the diaper on there is a gap at the top with no stuffin. How many layers is normal to put in for just a regular few hour time period?
I love the AIO Bum Genius but the large just fits Austin.

Do you believe they've never been used? Because the other issue could be build up. Also, there is the possibility that they can't keep up with that amount of pee at once Putting a doubler inside (these are the AIOs or pockets?) that can absorb quickly might help a little. Though if they're a cotton centre I wouldn't expect it to be that slow to absorb.
You might need additional stuffing up the front specifically for tummy sleeping. If you make sure the inserts go all the way to the front when you stuff them, then when you put them on, make sure you grab all the layers before pulling it up, that will take the insert to the front rather than leaving it behind. It's a bit fiddling but you get used to it and it does help
I put one cotton-babies one-size microfiber insert in for day time use (3-4 hours). She is 15 months as an idea. I used to way over stuff them but over time have worked my way down They supposedly hold about 15 oz.

I agree that my LO pees a lot at once. I think that when he's in the car seat he just overflows and leaks out. The diapers not that wet, the diapers really are a little odd. The microfleece is nice. They are AIO I have doublers with all mine from monkey doodlez. Apparently the lady at funky monkey told me that you just have to keep using them and when you are about to give up thats when they start working. Not really the answer I had been looking for. I find with the doublers, that he is SUPER padded and camel butt looking lol. Doesn't seem to help with leaking, so I'm not sure it's a stuffing issue

The BG 3.0s have a strip of pul at the front that prevents the front wicking with tummy sleepers, this didn't exist on the 1.0 and 2.0s. The only thing that I found that I can do to prevent the wicking is to pull the insert down so theres a small gap where the velcro fastens. I then can put on the diaper a lot snugger which doesn't allow for the wicking.
For most daytime use, I tend to use a microfiber insert or towel and a 1 layer hemp doubler. I also would use a single infant prefold for daytime as well - though it really depends on your child.

Another question!
I just ordered the jamtots diapers for Aidan and I think they are going to be too small!
What is a good All in one diaper for a 35+lb toddler?

Hmm, not sure if I know of any AIOs designed for that size. I can mostly think of pocket diapers that would fit up to that size. My Precious Baby By April has an XL that is 30-40lbs and she makes All-in-twos.
I can ask on Diaperswappers and would likely get an answer

Do you know if you can put a little oxyclean in with your diapers for washing?
I don't have any stains, but I'd like to be prepared for if I did.
And I have to say, Im loving my blueberry diapers, and sooo wish they shipped to Canada! I wish I had a US address to send them to all the time! lol (Thanks again ZabsMom!)

I'm not an expert on the different types of OxyClean, but OxyClean Versatile works (not the 'Free' version). Suppose to help get stinkies out too. I don't find it great for stains, but it probably helps a bit. It was suggested to me to do it one a separate cycle and lots of rinses to get it all out. I have done it with soap in the wash and OxyClean in the first rinse.
I'm mad at OxyClean at the moment because the stupid stuff left blue marks that look like pen on two of Katarina's outfits when I made it thick and rubbed it in like they say to do!
Ooh, I'm getting a couple blueberries too Friend mailed it to family
There are quite a few on the for-sale-or-trade boards these days after the sale

Diaperswappers, less so diapertraders as it isn't as busy.
Haha, do you have many different brands? I had mostly mother-ease one-size and some indisposables and some kushies to start. I bought some Happy Heinys, Baybees and Swaddlebees off someone and when they arrived I almost had a fit about the size and figured they were all way too small! The trimmer brands certainly look way smaller!

No, the four dipes I got on friday are my first store bought dipes. Lol
I'll have to look on diaperswappers- I tend to stick to more of the parenting threads cause the diaper selling/trading intimidates me greatly. LOL

Ooh, first fancy diapers, cool!
Hehe, yeah, it can get a bit hairy in the FSOT section. If you're looking for something in particular, let me know and I can keep my eyes open too

I'm trying to think of a mama that has a baby girl thats in a size med-ish diaper. I wanna make a girly fluffy pink/purple colour diaper. If you have a girl and think that a purple/pink fluffy bummed diaper is what you wanna try then pm me.
lhastie I know your LO would work but I"m not sure if you guys are into fluff?? would be a pocket.
