    Default OMG what a mess!

    My 4 year old just came out of my room after watching a tv show. Or at least that is what I thought. He was covered in black and beige from his face down to his socks. I took one look at him and thought OMG I know what he's done.

    Yep he got into my makeup. Bare Minerals stuff so its LOOSE powder and I have charcoal grey eyeshadow and beige concealer all over my white duvet cover. I want to cry, it had better come out. I can't bleach it either, I ruined my last cover that way as it burned the fabric. What do I do? Oxyclean maybe? I'm nervous to try anything as it was an expensive cover and I really love it.
    Anyone want a 4 year old.

    No idea about the oxyclean - but good luck! Hope you got some pictures so you can blackmail him when he is older!LOL

    LOL We already have a video from a couple of years ago with from a sunscreen incident for bribery. I should see if I can put it on here its cute. I'll try to dig it up.

    oh man!!! (one day you shall laugh at this....right? lol)

    can you take it to be dry cleaned? I would rather do that if its expensive than try it yourself.

    I would maybe take it to the dry cleaners. I think when we took our comforter it was $20 - well worth it!

    thats a good idea. It worries me because the makeup on it looks almost greasy.

    I agree that your best bet is the drycleaner - I'd say try the Oxy if it was a couple of smaller spots, but the entire cover requires more than Oxy....

    Children and our bedding. Last week Jonas took a pair of Crayola pinking sheers to my down comforter. I cried, too. And I've been sneezing for days! Feathers everywhere!

    I really hope your story gets a happy ending. Dry cleaning sounds like your best option to me, too.

    Well I decided to chance it in a soak cycle and it came out clean. Not a speck of the stuff. DS came up to me later and said he was sorry and gave me a big hug. so all is forgiven. You should have seen the room there was a fine dust of makeup over everything and the boy's one eyebrow is slightly darker than the other no matter how much I scrub. lol

    His Daddy must be so proud maybe he was just trying to tell you that you didnt need makeup to be beautiful - glad to hear it came out. I had a similar thing with Alysa in our makeup (good thing it was just the bathroom) but the comforter another day had a run in with penaten cream and yeah.. the comforter lost
