Default AAAAAH. Is this my fault? Gross pukes.

I went out last night with my girls and had some drinks. (Oh man I didn't nurse M until the afternoon so any alcohol in my system was minimal if any. I can't help thinking this is my 'punishment' for drinking. I know it's not, but, *sigh*. M had quite the pukefest this evening. Not his usual pukes either. CHUNKY stuff, like pudding thickness. *gag* He's not having a difficult time bringing it up, but the poor guy cries and cries afterward. It had a slight green tinge to it sometimes and i'm trying not to get freaked out. AAAAH. So frustrating right now. We went through this weeks ago and I thought it was over. Everything is coming out green. I want yellow poops back! Poor guy's been asleep since 1030pm, totally exhausted. I've poked around the internet and I don't like what I'm reading... intestinal blockage keeps coming up. I don't think that's the case? I was thinking maybe he just got too much milk once I started to nurse again and overate? I pumped this morning so I wouldn't be as full.

on friday I noticed he was really congested. My best guess is that he's got post nasal drip, and the mucous is going into his tummy. He's now bringing said mucous back up, which would be why the puke is kind of green, and why the poop would be green too. My guess, he's got a bug, and it needs to work it's way outta his system

    Hope he's feeling better soon!

the amount of alcohol that gets into breastmilk is minimal at best. I doubt that was the issue!
If he was ill as a pp said, that would more likely be the culprit!

Never thought of the post nasal drip. He's been congested for days now, I'm going to see if his Dr can see him before his appt on Friday. This is ridiculous. We've been pulling huge boogies out all day. lol. I'm trying to put saline drops in but he fights so hard once anything touches his nose. He ends up with more on his face than up his nose.

Sounds like he's sick to me too. I know it's not much of a consolation but at least you can rest easy knowing it isn't you that caused this. I would put money on it NOT being at all related to you having a few drinks!

Probably because the mucous is building up in his intestinal tract. Or, he's just swallowing more mucous!

Either way, I really hope he feels better soon!

On the upside, he's still a happy guy. I just hate to see him so fussy after he nurses. Makes me feel soooo guilty that it's all my fault, ya know?

Yeah, but if he is not well, stuffy nose, he would be fussy at the breast because he can't breathe all that well...it gets frustrating for them. I hope he feels better soon.

    Definately not your fault.
Think of it this way I find it helpful.. Its better hes get that mucous out, then keeps it in!

we used to use the saline spray instead of the drops. We could drop it on their noses when they were sleeping, but when they were awake giving them a mist-y spray was a superfun game.
