    Default where to bring preemie clothes

    I was just going through my kids keep sake boxes and I kept all of their preemie outfits. I went through them all and kept what ment something to me (first outfits they wore ext) but have a few baby boy preemie outfits. Our preemies spent their time in the NICU in windsor but I can not justify driving all that way to drop them off there. We are at childrens quite often with our youngest ds but I have no clue where their NICU is located. Any help would be great

    St. Joes has a NICU and I know my SIL brought all her preemie clothes up there. They appreciated them very much.

    If the child is born at st joes, and needs the NICU, they stay there until they are stable enough to be transferred to Childrens. Then they go to childrens hospital - 7th floor, east wing, or now I guess they are the 300's. Those born at Childrens who do not require the NICU go up to 7th floor. If you just take them to the Nurses station there, they will distribute them to families who can use them - or, will often use them on kids with basically no family. You would be amazed at how many babies are up there that their families rarely if ever come to see them or if it is just CAS that comes. The nurses often kind of adopt them as their own and make sure that they get dressed and such every day!

    @JeWill

    Actually, all babies are put in sleepers at Children's, it does not matter if they are without family or low income. They do not discriminate.

    They will appreciate all clothing, preemie clothes or clothes for babies/toddlers as they like to keep them out of hospital gowns.
