    Default Hobby for husband?

I spend many of our evenings sewing or making jewelry and my hubby sometimes gets bored. He has said he wishes he had a hobby but is not sure what to do (instead of watching tv.)

Do any of your husbands have hobbies? Any suggestions? His birthday is coming up so I would love to get him something related to a hobby...

my dp and my son are getting into archery. Dp also goes fishing whenever he can. Why not give him $5 and tell him to go to the dollar store and see if he can come up with something? My dp also designs his own websites so that also keeps him busy

What about going to the gym and just working out or going swimming? Is he more social for a team sport or a loner? Maybe learn to run clinic at Running Room?

Thanks for the suggestions ladies! I think he would enjoy something at home that he can do with his hands, and that doesn't cost a lot of money... He normally likes to read, but being a teacher, he's tired of that by the end of the day...

Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

You could pick up a cheap weight set at a garage sale, we got a really nice one, with over 300 pounds of weight. My Dh works in the line all day and is tired too, but he likes to work out, even if he is tired. Maybe if the equipment was at home rather then having to go to the gym he would do that. Dh sometimes likes to jump on the tread too and run.

Archery, aka, bow hunting- any kind of hunting, rifle too.
fishing - better in the nice months obviously

Nicer months, Dh likes to garden

Going out to a sports bar when UFC fights are on, I would day that is a hobby

My dh is a closet model railroader. He and ds are quite skilled at it.

He also designs some computer games he doesn't like to tell peolpe about (not sure why, apparently it'll ruin his image?) and he enjoys LM's arcade LOL.

Other than that hmmm....we both plan on taking up fishing up north. Well I plan on sitting in a boat or beside a river and enjoying peacefulness, and he intends on fishing.

My DH is a furniture maker by trade, but he also loves wood carving! There are a lot of great books and magazines out there on the subject...
