Default I can't beat him, so I'm going to try to join him.

Dh had the good fortune to win an XBox 360 from a contest on thescore.com. He's like a little kid at this point, seriously downright giddy that this thing is coming in the mail. I've been hounding him about faxing a bunch of applications away regarding our student loans for like a freaking MONTH now, and of course he's just sat on all of it... but then the contact person at The Score told him he'd need to fax in some ID to verify his name and address and he was out the door to Kinko's in under 5 minutes.

As I've said in other threads, I'm really REALLY not fond of gaming systems. I wasted far too many hours and brain cells playing Ken Griffey Presents on SNES to pretend like this thing won't suck the motivation out of our house like a Dyson vacuum.

But I've decided to give it a trial run. If after two weeks we've managed to not neglect our children or lose our jobs, I figure it can stay.

My question is... what games do you and/or your dh like? I've been out of the gaming world for so long that I don't know what's hot right now. I'm really not into hockey games, or anything with first person shooting. I love baseball and will probably get MLB 2K9 for Christmas from dh. But I'd like to get something that is not sports related as well.

Any game reviews you can throw at me?

My DH and I play Tiger Woods golf together. We usually have a lot of fun. Our time to play it is after our DD goes to bed.

No advice but I thought the title of thread as it shows on the main page was funny - "I can't beat him, so I'm..."

All I could think was, uh oh, she can't beat him so she's going to kill him!

    I. HATE. XBOX!!!

    I'm an xbox360 widow.

MIL bought one for DH when it first came out. 3 months before DD1 was born. Seriously, don't piss off a pregnant woman like that.

I cry a little inside every time DH comes home with a new game. That thing is evil!!

DH's latest fave Grand Theft Auto - the most disgusting game in the history of games IMO. Before that was boxing, golf I think, and some war games. He goes through phases.

I want Dance Dance Revolution so that I can finally use the thing and kick DH off it!

LMAO! I'm seriously scared now. I know deep down that this hunk of electronic junk is going to take over his home life. I swear, I'm going to have to find a really good hiding place.

Dance Dance Revolution sounds awesome! I'm going to look into that one. Oh, and there will be absolutely NO GTA in my home, now or ever. The last time one of those showed up for the PS2 it became mysteriously scratched.

There are some neat Mario ones that I was wishing we could buy today -- I was trying to find a game for PS2 that dh and I could play together. Tough challenge lol.

Make sure you check the bins in Walmart for 360 games cheaper. ALSO Giant Tiger for sure. Cheappppp.

I actually play wrestling with him sometimes, and we have Jeopardy (this is PS2) and I play this Stuntdriver game with DS sometimes, as for puzzley type games lol that's what the LM arcade is for hun. Make him get his own identity though, I did that to dh and suddenly it wasn't nearly so addictive cos he wasn't wiping me off the scoreboard anymore, just bumping me down a notch
