    Default Snowmen ornaments

I posted in another thread about making home made ornaments using a child's handprint where the fingers are painted into snowmen. Well, I just finished them tonight and they look sooo cute!

Here is a pic of them....

Here's the details in case you missed the other post....

I'm making Christmas ornaments for all DD's grandmas, a couple of her aunts and godmother. Take DD's hand print on a Christmas ball ornament and decorate each finger to look like a snowman. Then attach a fancy ribbon and the following saying:

These aren't just five snowmen as anyone can see,
I made them with my hand, which is a part of me.
Now each year when you trim the tree,
You'll look back and recall when my hand was this small!

Here is a video of how to do it:

For sure! They were so much fun to make with DD (2.5yrs old) and the best part is they cost less than $15 to make. Michaels had the Christmas balls on sale for $4.99.

What a great craft idea. Older DS adores doing crafts and painting!

Of course, 10 year olds are still babies in the eyes of their parents. Heck, my mom would probably love one of my hand.

What did you use to draw in the faces?

I used crayola markers for the faces and clothing at first. The black wasn't as bright as I wanted so I got brave and did the hats, eyes, and scarves with acrylic paints on top of the marker. Probably sharpies would be a better marker to use.3

Those are ADORABLE! I'm not crafty but think I will give it a try too. Grandparents throughout London will all be receiving these now thanks to you.

What type of paint did you use for the snowmen? Was it a pre-mixed one?

Love that idea. I think I may just have to do them with my LOs.
