There is one seller on Etsy who sells the greatest patterns! I am thinking of buying some and then begging my mom to get busy!

you can pay through paypal or with a creditcard... it varies between sellers as they decide which method of payment they prefer to receive. Some will accept cheques even. I would find what you'd like and just send them a msg to see if they'll accept the method you want to pay with

there are lots of sellers that sell them made already.. not just the patterns.

I ordered a whole bunch of patterns last week and have already made a few pieces of fruit. They are so easy!

How easy? I can sew a button or do crafty things but that is it.

I think knitted food would take me too long, but I do make felt food. It's fun! I will try to find some pics...

I've run across this ad on Kijiji (London) a few times and have contemplated buying....the food looks well made and she's local which is nicer than etsy with the high exchange rate right now. I haven't bought from her yet (I'm assuming it's a woman...) so I can't vouch for the quality but thought I'd post the link in case you're interested.

I can do about that as well and I'm having no problems with the fruit that I've made so far.

Maybe this is a dumb question but how do you make them? Does it take a really long time? I'm looking at the detailing on the corn on the cob and thinking it looks time-consuming. LOL

Wow - they look really fun and kinda easy to make. What a great idea - I hadn't even thought of felt food before.

I'm interested in this too. I think I might be able to do it, but where do you start? Do you have to buy huge pieces of the felt, or just little ones in different colours?

So I saw elsewhere that ideally you should use wool felt, which you have to order online and is more expensive. But I think you can also use the plain old felt you would buy at Micheal's, it just isn't as thick and doesn't wash well compared to the wool felt. I think personally (if I do get a chance to try anything felt) I'm going to go with the plain old kind from the store in case it turns out I need practice LOL since I'd rather practice on cheap stuff that still works fine. LOL
