    Default Low lying placenta

I was told I have a low lying placenta. I have not been able to have sex this pregnancy due to spotting and cramping but was given the ok by my doctor at my last appt. On Cityline today they said that you should not have sex with a low lying placenta. Now I'm kinda nervous about it. Anyone else have this problem? Could you have sex safely?

Coopersmom has had this issue through both of her pregnancies, I am sure if you PM'd her she would be a good source to help you.

I had a low lying placenta with Cooper and again with this pregnancy. I have another ultrasound in two weeks to check it again. With Cooper I did have spotting when we had intercourse but I haven't with this pregnancy. I didn't even know that you shouldn't have sex with a low lying placenta so now I'm worried. Thanks a lot. lol.

I had the same issue at an earlier appointment ( I want to say around 22 or 24 weeks)
Thankfully my placenta 'moved' or grew more toward the back, so it's not as much of an issue, but we were not allowed to have sex when it was really close to my cervix.

Just kidding! I'm looking at it as being off the hook until my next Dr's appointment.

We really DO think alike! I was like... aw.... no sex? Too bad.

I don't think DH sees it the same way though!
