I need to know if it actually tastes good. Anyone tried it?

I haven't tasted this cod liver oil, but IME high quality cod liver oil has a mild flavour. This brand comes in different flavours as well - mint, cinnamon and orange.

When we first started taking CLO, I was concerned my kids would dislike it. I started off with giving them a dose, followed by a shot of orange juice. Before long they both wanted "another bit" every time I opened the fridge They also seemed not to care about the juice after, so they'd just take the oil straight.

Anyway, I asked the Canadian distributor if they'd be okay with allowing mix and match of flavours and types for the 12 bottle discount (in which case the capsules will also be an option in the group order).

    Sounds good

I first about HVCLO via the MotheringDotCommune forums so, if you'd like, you can search there for much discussion on the products (sadly when I did a search, there wasn't much discussion on the taste).

http://www.wolfrivernaturals.com/blu...-liver-oil.htm so it would be this right, the non fermented kind? I am interested in the fermented, but right now, don't feel like shelling out the extra you know??

I haven't heard of too many people using that yet. I guess it does have Vit. K3, which is quite hard to get elsewhere.

I can't really afford to shell out so much either, but either that, or get more Vit. D deficient (due to our latitude during the winter months) and suffer the issues that come with that (which for me is depression and border line bi-polar type 2 - fun stuff! LOL). Shelling out the money wins!

Definitely check to see the source of the Vit A. We have switched over to Blue Ice CLO because it's a natural source of Vit A (and much higher than the other brands that keep it low and are synthetic)..... We buy the Mint flavor of Blue Ice and both my boys (2 and 4) love it. Just an idea ...
This is what we use after much consideration. We just switched from mint to cinnamon, though!

I found that. Probably if you put it in a smoothie they wouldn't even know.

If we can get enough ppl to get at least the $8.00 discount then I think I am in. Do you have any idea what the shipping would be??

I don't want to be in because I have spent so much money lately, but I keep thinking about my kids developing brains, and that and my husband hardly seeing the light of the day in the winter so needs vit. D.

I would go with the cinnamon, because my kids love that spice and it will be easy to sneak into hot cereal or smoothies for the LO.

I would just going for one bottle though. Do you know how much Carlsons for kids usually goes for? mine liked the lemon last year. Thats the only thing I am debating, but I think it is more expensive then this brand.

Sorry I've been away from this thread. I found an ON distributor, which is handier than the other one. I emailed them early last week and am yet to hear from them. I'll call them up today.
