    Default Halloween Crafts

    Hi there!
I was wondering if anyone had any easy halloween craft ideas .... I am looking for some things to do with my 21 month old.... So far we've made some jack-o-lanterns with some orange and yellow construction paper and I was just looking for something else that might be fun to try...

    Thanks a bunch!

Put a white footprint on black paper. Let dry then flip so the toes are down and add eyes on the heel. It's a ghost.

We made ghosts for our front porch. I pulled out all my white rags and cut a jagged edge on the bottom. The kids crumpled newspaper balls for the head, then an elastic around it and they drew faces on them. They love that they are hanging on our porch, my daughter says "I hope they scare people!"

You can do hand prints for ghosts aswell.

You can make gingerbread cookies in the sshape of pumpkins, ghosts, etc.

Try this website. I did the ghost with my daycare little one who is 13 months.
I am going to try the bat too (with the handprints)

There are alot of other great activities here and they give you step by step instructions and photos.
    Enjoy!

    Try these sites..

With the kids I sit for, they drew faces on construction paper pumpkins (one face was drawn on sideways, so the stem is sticking out to the left, and the other has a very scribbly face).. And we made spiderwebs by drawing the web with silver / white crayon on black paper (cut paper in triangle.. round one edge.. stick in a corner of a mirror or window). We're going to carve / and or / decorate some pumpkins this week too. At Brownies, we're decorating mini pumpkins with glitter glue, felt, pipecleaners, and paint. Have fun!

Handprint spiders are also cute. You put one hand with the fingers out one way, then sort of overlap the palm and put the fingers out the other direction. This can also make a bat if you keep the fingers together instead of spread for legs.

When dd was 7 months old, we made magnets out of painted wooden shapes. I painted pumpkins orange, then, using a safe ink, put on her finger prints but added details to make them look like spiders like this:
