Default UWO Student Moms Meet-Up - Part 2

So I was thinking we could use a new thread.

    I think from this

    http://doodle.ch/2m2ua2siah28z3n3

we've mostly agreed on a Friday afternoon (but feel free to vote if you haven't yet done so!) and we've talked about doing this at the UCC. So now I guess all we have to do is to pick a Friday. How does next Friday, October 10th work for everyone? And then we'd do every other Friday afterwards, so that hopefully everyone will be able to make it at least once in awhile. I'll have to bring my DD and I think someone else mentioned she will too, so I wonder if anyone has any other suggestions for locations.

Also it would be nice if we could all try to invite the other student mamas we may have met on campus that might not be on LM - the more the merrier!

What time? I can't on the 10th, I'm on practicum so I'm in a classroom, but I'll try and make it to some coming up.

I was just coming on to the gathering section to post about this. I'm in if its fairly early in the afternoon. I need to pick up my boys at 4-430pm so need to leave western around 340ish. Anytime before that is fine with me as I'll just be at Weldon studying/writing. This term is already kicking my behind! Looking forward to meeting everyone.
(has anyone met any other student moms? I swear the kids just get younger at uni, I have babies in some of my classes! LOL I guess its just me getting older...)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this week, but usually Friday afternoons sound good. I too would prefer for it to be rather early in the afternoon as I, too, have to leave by 4 to pick up my son.

Crap! it's not looking good for me on fridays now. I had an experience with a daycare provider from hell and long story short I pulled my son out of her care. It looks like he's going into a nearby centre but they only had thursdays available for me. I might try to make it this friday but it will be with my 3 year old in tow...and I'm warning you he's a sprited kid. LOL I might bribe him with timbits so he'll sit but I'll have to leave when the sugar kicks in. LOL

LOL! I'm going with my 2.5 year old, and she is very active as well. Timbits may be a good idea.

Ok that makes me feel better Mamabear. LOL I don't want to be the only one with a child running around. We'll see everyone there then, just let me know time and general area or how we will know each other. I should be VERY easy to spot. You'll hear me saying Cole about twenty times a minute.

Carol: If you need a spot to leave your child on short notice there is a center in the basement of the UCC. They do hourly care and it is $4.50/hr. They have a wait list but you could go in and see if they can do a certain day. To get there: go down the stairs by timmies. At the bottom turn to the right and go down that hall. On the left there is another hall (after the store that sells clothes). You can see the day care center at the end of that hall (you'll walk past all the fitness classes).

So is 2 OK for everyone? I'm thinking I'll make it a bit after 2, probably no later than 2:30.

I was thinking the UCC caf sorta, like in the back? It probably isn't a super spot for young kids but I can't think of anywhere else to go. If there are other suggestions for a location that would be super!

Initially I thought it would be good because I forgot that I would have to bring my 2-year-old. I'd take her to the drop-in child care centre but I'm pretty sure she would freak out if I left her there.

    Anyways, ramble over. LOL
