That's so cute! I love how Kaedra's little head is poking out!
What's colour and pattern is the Babyhawk? They're sooo pretty!

yeah kaedra is little miss head control... lol she did that again today when I wore them in a wrap.

the babyhawk has pink straps and custom 'tatoo girl' fabric on one side, pink hearts on the other http://www.thebabywearer.com/forum/s...d.php?t=113138 that is the exact one I bought...

i'm such a carrier addict... i seriously want another bh so i can wear them both at the same time.. and I want a didymos wrap...

for now I am making a strechy wrap with some tshirt knit I bought a while ago... it was .99m at fabricland for ends.. at the time i bought it to make a layette for the girls.. but I can do a few seams and it will work well for a stretchy wrap

eta-
pic of them both in a wrap

Bikruca,
How are those wraps...for your back. I have a normal baby carrier and it strains my back and neck when i carry baby like this.
Also hoW Mny lbs do they hold and how much do they run for??

the wrap I am using is made of a lightweight cotton gauze.. it's a great beginners wrap and it's the same fabric as the 'sassy wrap' (retails for 75 dollars but I made mine for much less than that). A lot of the mamas here are raving about the 'cuddly wrap' http://www.cheekymonkey.ca/CuddlyWrap.htm which is a stretchy wrap ike t shirt fabric. the moby wrap is similar. I understand that the stretchy wraps are great for newborns, but as you baby gets heavier they will feel less secure.

I can still wear my 2.5 year old (45 lbs) with the gause wrap doing a back carry with it wrapped around an extra time. I want to get a better woven wrap like the didymos http://www.didymos.de/english/index_e.htm for more support though- I found that the gauze isn't supportive enough past around a year really.

I's very very comforatable, because you can spread the weight over a much larger area, and adjust it perfectly so that the baby is well supported.

do you sew? I could send you instructions to make your own wrap quickly and easily... I have made both with and without sewing.

If you want to learn how to use a wrap come to the next NINO babywearing support group... I am pretty good with the basic carries!

I dont sew, am very uncoordinated. I have such a hard time getting her into the backpack. Do u think the wraps are easier?? to get them into.
I like to use the carrier to get her out of car and into places, because i also have my 20mth to drag around as well.

Wraps have a learning curve at first, IMO, but they are so worth it!

You can learn from videos at www.mamatoto.org. I would not say a wrap is the best carrier for quick in/out, because it does take more time to wrap a babe than to pop one in, say... a pouch or something.

You might also want to look at mei teis.

what kind of baby carrier do you have lo&tristansmom?

actually, I'd probably suggest a mei tai... much easier to use...

I just ordered a babyhawk www.babyhawk.com but there are many many different kinds... i am wearing 2 mei tai's in the first pic

I just went and looked and... fabulous!!!!! Love it.

I just splashed out $150 for an Ergo for my 3 year old, so I have to not look at thebabywearer too much! But love it.
