Default If I Had a Million Dollars...

What would be the FIRST thing you'd buy? Don't think too hard, what's the first thing that comes to mind?

I'd pay off my house and cars and then pay someone to decorate my house and landscape it! (I'm horribly untalented with things like that). Then I'd go visit my sister and send my inlaws away on a trip! That would probably do it in... A million doesn't get you very far anymore!

I would buy a house and a car (nothing TOO fancy, something I could maintain myself - probably 4 or 5 bedrooms). Then I would go on a vacation with my family and then make a donation to the CF foundation.

You're right a million bucks doesnt go that far but it goes a lot farther then I am heading right now lol.

I'd get DH a truck. And then an SUV for myself. Pay off this mortgage, spend a year finishing this house (basement, landscaping) while planning to build a new house. Plan would be to save half. Max out the RRSP's and DD's RESP and rest to an open account.
Stop thinking youíre not ready. Ė Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we wonít feel totally comfortable at first.

buy a house closer to family without having to wait till this one is sold. Pay off debt, go on a BIG cruise with DH and DD (maybe a disney one!)

Hmm or maybe I would just put it in the bank and live off the interest for the rest of my life It wouldnt be lots but it would probably be enough that I wouldnt have to work Or maybe I would put it in a high interest savings account for 5 years (or invest it in a SAFE way) and not touch it so it could get nice and juicy before I spend it on my dream home, cottage, private plane, tropical island in the caribbean... lol.

but not before I go out and buy a new wardrobe

OR... anyone know how much a canadian mint costs???? THAT is a money maker for sure (haha pun pun pun.. I am so lame lol)

Get the house renovated and have a designer in to give opinions regarding colour - if it's up to me I just go with brown.
    Maybe buy a summer home...
but likely (cause I'm boring) I would invest most of it to allow for additional income.

LOL, once I think about it I get practical, so I guess the trick is to really just respond with the firs thing that pops in your head, lol!

Eliminate debt, drill about 10 wells for Life Outreach International, partake of Mission Feeding and buy a modest home, I don't need anything too fancy, just in the country. Car for my DH, horse for me, wardrobes for all 3 of my girls.

Darn it, the first thing that popped into my head was invest it and use the interest for extra income. I had to actually THINK about some interesting things to do with the money. I have become very boring....
