I was going to say salt water. If that didn't work I dont' know what to suggest. Hopefully someome else has a trick that will work.

There is an oral gel for canker sores and that helps cause it as a numbing agent. But the salt water is supposed to work as well.

Are you sure it is a canker and not a bursted taste bud. Is it a little white dot on your tongue? If it is the taste bud, there is nothing you can do but wait for a few days.

Go and buy something called "Kanka" it is a medication as well as a numbing agent and it forms a film over the cancer so you can eat etc. without any pain. I have been using this for years and it is the best!!!

Put salt directly on it and try to breathe That's what I always do... it hurts. A lot. But, it goes away fast!

I am not really sure, but I have heard that it is an infected taste bud, but called a bursted taste bud. Maybe just a nicer way to say it. I have one right now on the tip of my tongue...what a pain.

I use "Fletchers Sore Mouth Medicine" from Shoppers. It hurts a lot to put it on, but it really speeds up the healing.

vinegar works well, dries it up and stings the pain away.

I actually have one on the top of my tongue at the moment and all iIwant to do is bite it off! I have also had them at the end of my tongue and they do hurt a lot. Then again, so does the one I have right now! I don't eat a lot of salty or sugary foods but perhaps it's stress doing it to me lately. Whenever I get stressed out, I get a lot of cankers in my mouth/on my tongue, etc and break out in pimples (which I also seem to have a lot of right now too!). These things are so annoying eh!
