    Default soy/thrush connection?

so... simon developed thrush about a month ago, a couple of days after we switched him to soy formula. when we moved over the weekend i switched him over to a lactose free formula that has milk proteins in it and low and behold the thrush has totally disappeared. my doctor insists there is no connection between soy and thrush, but i just don't see how that's possible. i'm curious, has anyone else had this experience with soy?

No experience. But how is his skin? Mine cleared up immediately but has slowly come back. His skin is rough, red, and bumpy. I have literally tried everything. How are you making out?

It is possible the thrush disappeared b/c of the change (that happens a lot). Watch it to see if it comes back.

the skin on his face is still broken out. i don't know what to do, either. i'm actually bathing him more now than i did in the beginning, and there seems to be an overall improvement. we moved into a building with better water, so i'm hoping that plays a part. who knows... baby dermatology is an enigma wrapped in a riddle.

My daughter Kate was switched to "So Good" Soy Milk (apparently the best tasting of the bunch) at 15 months and we have had no issues at all. She wouldn't take the formula's.

I can't imagine a connection either, My daughter was both breast fed and on soy formula and we had an awful time getting rid of the thrush. I think she was about 5 months when it finally cleared up. I was still breastfeeding and I believe thats where the problem was.
