Default What are you reading right now?

For the first time since my dd was born almost three years ago, I have finally sunk my teeth into my first book that has absolutely nothing to do with child rearing. It's also not the newspaper or Today's Parent magazine.

I am reading "Marley & Me" and I am loving getting absorbed in books again. I am always looking for a good read so I thought that I would start a thread to see what others are reading or have read that they really enjoyed.

By the way, Marley & Me is a great book if you are looking for something to read.

Just finishing "Friday Night Knitting Club" which has been an easy read, pick up, put down type book. Have been carrying it around and reading when waiting for.... dentist, doctor, garage, etc.

My MIL bought me The Lazy Husband. It is written by a man and in the end you are suppose to be able to make your husband more helpful, without having to fight about it. Also, he isn't apparently suppose to realized that he has changed. I haven't had a lot of time to read it yet, since I do most of the housework etc...lol

I only read fantasy novels, so people usually don't take my recs, lol.

Anyways, I am reading The Diamond Throne by David Eddings. I'm nearly done, though it's the first of a trilogy. It's typical DE fluff.

I am just beginning ICY SPARKS (not sure who it's by and it's all the way upstairs ) but I do know it's about a young girl who is starting to show the symptoms of Tourrette's. It interested me because I have family with TS, and also cos it is so rare in females.

My son and I are reading Ralph and the Motorcycle

I'm reading "Growing Up Green" by Deidre Imus, the second one. I guess this kind of fits into the parenting category, but it seems thats all I read anymore, and its more like I skim through it to the chapters that I'm more interested in. I am still waiting to pick up the book I needed SOO badly...A New Earth. I was so excited to read it and do the online thing with Oprah, but there was no way I had time to read it. I miss being able to curl up with a good book!
