Default breast milk and gassy foods

    Ladies,

what are your experiences with breast milk and certain foods that bug your baby? i had chilli one night and she was not happy that night and last night i had pizza with cheese on it and she wouldnt settle..had a massive crying fit...i called telehealth and they said there is no corelation between food and breast milk but wondered if anyone else has experienced things like this with certain foods?

I definitely experienced that whenever I caved to a craving for a Big Mac.

I know friends that had to give up dairy and have seen huge changes. Mine was really gassy as a newborn but when I talked to my midwife about it she said each thing had to be given up for 21 days before you could tell for sure if that was the thing that bugged them. I couldn't give up dairy that long without knowing it would help so I didn't. She got over it by 6 weeks or so. I guess one way to check it is to each chili again and see how she was. That will tell you if it was fluke or not.
