    Default pink and blue candies

    Hello Ladies,

I would like to do a gender reveal cake with either blue or pink candies in the middle. any suggestions as to what kind of candies i can buy? i know i will likely have to go to bulk barn and pick through the bins and pick out all the pink or the blue candies... but wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to which ones i could look for. or is there anything else i could use just buying from a store in a package? thanks!

Party city has candies sorted by colours. I'm not sure what the prices were like though.

or you could just dye the cake on the inside, with food colouring
What you'd do is scoop out say a third of the batter from your bowl and dye that. When you pour the cake into the pan, put in the neutral colour,
then the coloured, and then the neutral and the colours will stay seperate. I did this to make a tie dyed cake at a birthday recently, and they really don't mix! It was neat.

I just dyed the whole cake blue and it didn't show through the icing. Much easier and less stuff to buy but the candy idea is cute. I think bulk barn might have coloured candies separated? But yes, Party City definitely does.
