Question Back to School Essentials - Grade 2

    Hey everyone!

I feel like I don't need to buy anything for my son this year for back to school, but I would like to make sure I'm not forgetting anything. What all does a kid entering grade 2 need for school?

Depending on your school as some do the 'community bucket' type of thing on the desk, here's what I'd suggest:
crayons, markers, pencil sharpner with container, pencil case, pencils, eraser, glue sticks, indoor shoes, backpack of course, and likely there will be a request for
    tissues or hand sanitizer.

The only things I have prepared for my grade 2 last year was...
    -backpack
    -lunch pail
    -indoor shoes

The rest I waited until the teacher sent a note requesting them.

We always have to send in paper towels and hand sanitizer.

For or the kids personally, indoor shoes, the typical supplies like pencils, erasers, sharpener, pencil crayons, scissors... LABELS!! Ha! Crap, I need more labels...

In my experience many teachers in the primary grade discourage markers. So I'd say pencil crayons, pencils, erasers (usually white) pencil case, scissors and ruler. Kleenex is usually requested a few times through the year. I'd personally get him set up with indoor shoes, pencil case, lunch bag and back pack and wait until the teacher sends a list. Ever year I buy buy buy and found they didn't need some of the stuff our school listed on the website. This year there's no list so we're waiting until we get a list. Teachers lists will vary
