I would also like to know about this school. Is it in whitehills?
Proud mom to ds born Sept. 2009 and dd born May 2012
Yes, it is in whitehills. As far as I know there are 2 tvdsb schools in the whitehills area - Wilfrid Jury and Emily Carr. You can find out which one you're zoned for by putting your address into this website - Edulog WebQuery
A friend of mine teaches in London and she didn't know anything about it so asked in her staff room. The general opinion was that it's a huge school so gets kind of
overwhelming at times, but that it also attracts a lot of phenomenal teachers because it gets a lot of funding for special programs and for innovative ideas, due to
its size.
I've heard from a friend whose kids attended for a while, that it is kind of rowdy but ok. She said not rowndy as in violent or anything, just because it is so big.
I'm looking forward to the fresh start. Our current school is .....well, not great. It isn't bad per say, it's just that it is not what I remember school being, or what I hear
about my nieces', nephews', or friends' kids' schools being like. So at least my bar is set pretty low and it's bound to be an improvement![]()
